Car accidents are the #1 cause of death for children under 14 years old. Although it's impossible to fully eliminate the chance of death or serious injury, there are steps you can take to significantly reduce the chances of anything happening. The American Academy of Pediatrics now recommends that every child be in a rear-facing car seat while riding in a car until at least the age of 2. Knowledge is power, and nothing is worth my child's life.
